Mound Bayou Fact

Shortly after the early settlers entered the Mound Bayou Colony they had a public school established. Mr. Montgomery and Benjamin T. Green donated a tract of land for educational purposes and the Mound Bayou Normal and Industrial Institute was established in 1892.
